Old Waverley Hotel edinburgh, scotland, traditional scottish accommodation

Trees 4 Scotland.

The Old Waverley Hotel is delighted to be supporting the planting of new woodlands and wildlife conservation in Scotland. We are very aware of our environmental impact and are taking positive steps to both reduce and offset our carbon footprint.

We urge you to also support the fantastic Teaghlach Wood project that is run by Trees4scotland. We automatically add £1 to the bill of every customer on an `opt out' basis, with the commitment that 100% of the funds go directly to Trees4scotland for use within the Teaghlach Wood project.

Your funds support:

  • The planting of native tree varieties such as oak, birch, rowan and willow
  • Regeneration of wildlife habitats - especially some new nesting grounds for the areas rare red kites
  • Conservation of existing woodland sites

As you can see in the photographs we are taking a `hands on' approach to tackling climate change and to enhancing Scotland's beautiful countryside!

To find out more about the project please visit www.teaghlachwood.com and www.trees4scotland.com.

Thank you for visiting Scotland and for leaving a positive footprint!
